Featuring Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and Pusha T outta The Clipse.

Also, Joe Budden - Who.

And the new TIP joint, T.I. - Whatever You Like (video’s on youtube).

New video from one of the best bands in the world. Featuring one of the ugliest girls ever to play the lead in any music video ever. Score!

While I’m on my hip hop tip… here’s a new video from Clipse (my favourite hip hop duo of all time).

I’m forced to post this simply because they’re sporting a Man United shirt in the vid… when was the last time you saw that in hip hop? (something tells me that’s a marketing tool… and it worked)

I posted a link to download Nas’ new “Nigger” album last week, but as soon as I put that up then the music videos started to come through.

Despite producing an album about how the afro-american community need to break free from the shackles of modern day slavery, and “answering to the man”, Nas still had to please the label heads at Def Jam and put a couple of radio friendly hits on the record. Oh the irony. One of those tracks is called “Hero”, and features vocals from Keri Hilson (what song doesn’t these days?) and production from Polow Da Don (what song doesn’t these days?). It couldn’t be more commercial if it tried… anyway, here’s the vid:

Slightly more apt is the track “Sly Fox”, a track dealing with Fox and its portrayal of afro-american community. Didn’t even know they were making a video for it, but here it is:

Nice to have Nas back in the system, even if the “Nigger” concept is 50% genuine and 50% gimmick.

This song was out ATLEAST a month ago. In fact, the album was out in January, but it’s been getting a lot of exposure on the radio for a while now.

The video has JUST been released.

Better late than never I guess?

Awesome tune.

Just come across this video, from new rapper NY Oil.

It’s one of the only music videos to ever be banned from Youtube. This is the animated version. If anybody has the link to the original, throw it my way.

Pretty good song and concept. This, for me, is proper hip hop music - not the Lil Wayne/50 Cent shit. And this is the kind of stuff that I’m hoping for on the new Nas album.

Short People got no reason
Short People got no reason
Short People got no reason
To live

They got little hands
And little eyes
And they walk around
Tellin’ great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet

Well, I don’t want no Short People
Don’t want no Short People
Don’t want no Short People
Round here

Short People are just the same
As you and I
(A Fool Such As I)
All men are brothers
Until the day they die
(It’s A Wonderful World)

Short People got nobody
Short People got nobody
Short People got nobody
To love

They got little baby legs
And they stand so low
You got to pick ‘em up
Just to say hello
They got little cars
That go beep, beep, beep
They got little voices
Goin’ peep, peep, peep
They got grubby little fingers
And dirty little minds
They’re gonna get you every time
Well, I don’t want no Short People
Don’t want no Short People
Don’t want no Short People
‘Round here

Will.i.am, or william as I like to call him, and Cheryl Cole - “Heartbreaker”.

Such an addictive tune. A really random combination? And Cheryl doesn’t actually do anything in this song? She’s got like two lines that she repeats over and over?

Fair play to william though. Better than his previous crap.

The highly anticipated and highly controversial new one from Nas. The album is now untitled, but will surely become known as its original working name “Nigger” and the content on the album is going to be much the same. I’m eager to see how he tackles this one, it’s a hell of a task for Nasir but “Be A Nigger Too” is a pretty good start. Dope video.

I’ve been waiting on this video for a long-ass time.

Wale’s reworked version of Justice’s “D.A.N.C.E.” is one of my favourite songs from this year, and when snippets of a “D.A.N.C.E.”-esque video started to leak online I got very excited. “D.A.N.C.E.” was one of the best videos from the last couple of years - so much so that Kanye used the director for his single “The Good Life” - and as soon as I knew Wale was going to do something similar I thought this could be the thing that propels him from being ‘potential’ rapper to the next superstar.

Unfortunately not. This video is nowhere near as good as “D.A.N.C.E.” and looks pretty amateurish in places. It’s not a bad video, don’t get me wrong, but it could have been so much better. The song is still dope as fuck mind.
